The Medela branding draws inspiration from classical art and Roman aesthetics, creating a connection between ancient anatomy sketches and modern therapeutic practices. The logo design features two hands reaching toward each other, symbolizing balance, mutual support, and the collaborative relationship between practitioners and patients. The earthy colour palette—greens, copper, sand, and light grey—reflects nature, strength, and stability, while the typography is inspired by ancient stone carvings and shop signage. This approach establishes a professional yet welcoming identity, making it versatile across multiple therapeutic services.

For POKE, I crafted a vibrant and cohesive brand identity that reflects the fresh, tropical essence of Hawaiian poke bowls. The custom logo features stacked bowls forming the letter "O," using a lively colour palette of greens, salmons, and tropical hues.

The menu design highlights both signature bowls and a build-your-own-bowl section with a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate layout. High-quality images and subtle tropical motifs enhance the overall aesthetic, making the POKE experience both flavorful and inviting.

Explore how POKE's branding and menu design celebrates the joy of fresh, tropical flavours.

In crafting the Robina Farmers Market brand identity, I aimed to evoke a sense of warmth and inclusivity while maintaining simplicity and professionalism. To achieve this, I employed a warm colour palette that exudes welcoming vibes and reflects the diverse assortment of products available. Additionally, I curated a collection of patterns, icons, and motifs inspired by the market's offerings, imbuing the brand with authenticity, rawness, originality, and freshness.

I focused on minimalist design principles and intuitive user experience for the website. Employing clean layouts and user-friendly navigation, visitors can seamlessly explore the market's offerings and access essential information such as stallholder applications and participation guidelines. This ensures clarity and accessibility for all users, facilitating effortless browsing through the site.

The banners, posters, and flyers showcase a harmonious blend of warm hues and striking visuals, setting the Robina Farmers Market apart from its counterparts. They effectively communicate key information to foot or car traffic passing by with succinct yet impactful messaging.

This approach allows the market to make a memorable impression within just a few seconds, captivating pedestrians strolling by or drivers commuting past. Overall, the Robina Farmers Market branding exudes sophistication, clarity, and warmth, effectively conveying its message and leaving a lasting impact on visitors and stakeholders alike.

Light & Sol Psychology

I curated the Light & Sol Health Services website, seamlessly blending Lucky & Son Studio's branding with warmth and authenticity. Each element echoes Sarah's philosophy, with water patterns, sand textures, and beach landscapes adorning the site, symbolizing the journey towards positive change and growth. Through warm hues and film photography, we've ensured an authentic representation, with grainy textures shining through, reflecting Sarah's work's raw and honest side.

The design isn't just about aesthetics; it's about fostering a supportive online community. Intuitively structured, the website invites visitors to explore and engage, echoing Sarah's calming presence and guiding them towards a brighter, more grounded path. It's a space where encouragement and support are tangible, where every click reinforces Sarah's commitment to her clients and her team.

I had the pleasure of transforming Katie Robb’s hand-drawn mandalas into a digital format, creating a cohesive and versatile collection. Each of the nine mandalas was meticulously redrawn on my iPad, preserving their unique meanings and intricate designs. The final product is a beautifully designed booklet that Katie can distribute to her clients as a complete book or individual mandalas. This allows clients to engage with the mandalas at home, enhancing their personal healing journeys.

In addition to the booklet, I designed Katie’s website. She envisioned a clean, simple, and easy-to-navigate online presence. Given her preference for handling bookings via email, I opted for a one-page design. The site features a warm and welcoming aesthetic, with clean typography that complements her logo and embodies her philosophy as a kinesiologist. The result is a user-friendly, inviting website that effectively communicates Katie’s holistic approach to well-being.

Over the past three years, I have been employed by Joe Chef as a waiter and photographer. When he approached me to redesign his Menu and Client package, I had a clear understanding of his vision and target audience. At the beginning of 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to complete my work placement with Flotsam Festival at the Gold Coast. This experience opened up exciting new avenues for me. As the festival was making its debut this year, I gained insights into every aspect of the organization and worked on various design projects.

During my time at Flotsam, I conducted research and created eye-catching posters, flyers, and social media tiles. I also contributed to enhancing the Flotsam website on WordPress, curated social media content, developed media kits, and prepared photographs for different types of prints, including posters, panels, and screens.

What made this experience even more special was my involvement in the festival beyond being a designer. I was honoured to showcase my photography through prints, big screens, Instagram tiles, and slideshows. Additionally, I got to be part of the Mentor short documentary film Project. Being both a designer and an artist at the festival was a remarkable experience that enriched my skills and allowed me to leave my creative mark.

Major Project Collaboration Work with Juan Marcos Micozzi

I was honoured to collaborate with Marcos on his Bachelor's Degree Major Project. He is a talented Virtual Reality Audio Engineer from Argentina based in Byron Bay.

We brought his captivating book, XYZ// Sound Sculpture, to life together. This project explored the fascinating connection between gestures and sound through the medium of Virtual Reality. I had the privilege of handling the design aspect of this project.

Marco envisioned a creation inspired by the Bauhaus and Swiss styles, emphasising minimalism, simplicity, geometric forms and organisational precision.

I aimed to infuse his vision with vitality, highlighting his unwavering dedication and passion through my design concepts.

Major Project Collaboration Work with Anna Tomaszewska

At the start of our Major Project, Anna presented her idea, which immediately piqued my interest. As someone who grew up immersed in music and being a musician myself, I've always been captivated by diverse genres, sounds, and instruments.

Our unique perspective as non-Australian residents allows us to approach listening differently. Anna's primary focus was capturing the sounds surrounding her daily life on the East Coast. Her project, titled 'The World Through The Ears Of Ambisonics,' takes us on a mesmerising audio journey through the melodies of Australia, offering a three-dimensional 360-degree immersive experience.

My objective was to find a means of translating her perspectives and recordings into visually stunning designs. To achieve this, I incorporated some of my own photographs to transport people to the locations that inspired the songs. I utilised background soundwave patterns to convey the richness and depth of the audio and incorporated individual soundwaves to represent the diverse range of notes found in Australia.

Packaging Redesign / San Remo Spaghetti

packaging design

San Remo is renowned for its exceptional Italian pasta products, all made in Australia. Their branding is distinct and effectively portrays their story and values. When designing their packaging, I carefully selected a Serif font reminiscent of 18th-century typefaces to capture Italy's rich history and love for food. To highlight their Australian roots, I created a design featuring the contour of Italy filled with aboriginal patterns and colours, showcasing the 100% Australian-made aspect. The packaging is printed on eco-friendly cardboard, giving it an organic and sustainable feel.

Lino Cut - Pattern & Colour

Throughout this project, I discovered the LinoCut technique, which involves creating a repeating pattern. My goal was to choose a letter and arrange it creatively to make a design suitable for fabric or wallpaper. I picked the letter "A" using the font "Allumi Std Extended Inline - Black 24" to achieve a gothic style look. To evoke feelings of energy, joy, courage, and power, I decided to use dark red and yellow colours.
